Dentists Need to Know Your Allergies

Getting dental work done is all about helping improve your quality of life, not hurting it. That’s why it’s crucial to notify your Knoxville dentist of any and all allergies you have. Failing to do so could lead to discomfort or a poor reaction. It’s not worth messing with your health so be sure to notify the staff and the doctor so that you’re taken care of properly.

Many people have allergies to latex, which is a problem if your dentist uses latex gloves. However, because of the problems a lot of dentists and doctors, for that matter, have switched to gloves made of other synthetics that don’t cause as many reactions.

Here is an interesting article that discusses allergy issues and dentistry. Always take the initiative and notify the staff of allergies right away.

Another Good-hearted Dental Practice

Dr. Lazear was featured yesterday for his charitable habits of offering free dental services to his community. Since good people deserve the spotlight, here’s another practice in Savannah doing a similar day of service. These are the kind of patriots that make our Nation great and deserve the gratitude of citizens everywhere. Howard Dental Group was featured by the Savannah Morning News to help raise awareness. Said the news:

One of the area’s largest dental clinics will offer free cleanings, fillings and extractions Friday in an effort to treat people who can’t afford such services.

Staff at Howard Dental Group are expecting hundreds to turn out Friday for the business’ third annual “Dentistry From the Heart” clinic at Pooler Family Dental, 91 Brighton Woods Drive, off Highway 80 in Pooler.

More than 50 Howard Dental employees will participate, including eight dentists, 12 hygienists, 15 assistants and 16 administrative team members.

Wow! 50 staff members participating. That’s a lot of missed revenue for this dental practice and a lot of people helped…all in the name of goodness.
