Most service firms (such as dentists, orthodontists, accountants, attorneys, contractors, engineers, etc.) raise their fees each year between 3-5%. The reason is to cover the cost of inflation, which grows at about that same rate every year. This means in order to be as profitable as he was last year, a dentist must raise his rates slightly. But this doesn’t happen every year. This year is a perfect example.
While inflation is still going to happen, a lot of dentists are foregoing the raise because of the financial strain of the recession. It’s partly out of goodwill and partly out of good business sense. If people are struggling to pay bills, they may skip going to the dentist altogether. So it makes sense to make it as easy on them as possible.
Our dental practice has always focused on a fair price for all procedures. There’s no greater evidence of this than the great patients we have who loyally return on a regular basis. We thank you for your support. If you need to see a Knoxville dentist, call us today to set up an appointment.
